The application of photovoltaic fuses
Photovoltaic panels: Installing photovoltaic fuses at the output end of each photovoltaic panel can
prevent internal short circuits or faults from affecting the entire photovoltaic array.
Photovoltaic box: The combiner box collects the output current of multiple photovoltaic
panels together. Photovoltaic fuses are used to protect the circuits and equipment inside the combiner
box, preventing damage to the entire combiner box caused by the failure of one panel.
Inverter converts DC power into AC power, and photovoltaic fuses are installed at the input end of
the inverter to protect it from excessive current impact.
Performance Requirements
Reliability: Due to the fact that photovoltaic systems are usually installed outdoors and exposed to
various harsh environmental conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, dust, etc.
for a long time, photovoltaic fuses need to have extremely high reliability and be able to work stably in
these complex environments to ensure the safe operation of the photovoltaic system.
Low power loss: In order to improve the power generation efficiency of photovoltaic systems,
photovoltaic fuses should have low power loss and reduce energy waste on fuses.
Quick melting characteristic: In the event of a short circuit or overload, the photovoltaic fuse needs to
be able to quickly melt to protect the equipment in the photovoltaic system. Generally, it is required that
the fuse can cut off the circuit in a very short time (usually in milliseconds) under the specified short-
circuit current.
