How to Select Energy Storage Fuses

Energy storage fuses are key protective components in battery energy storage systems. Choosing the wrong type leads to overheating, failure, or safety risks. To select correctly, you must check rated voltage, rated current, breaking capacity, working temperature range, and certifications.

First, confirm your system voltage: 1000V DC or 1500V DC. Second, select a rated current of 1.25 times the normal working current. Third, ensure breaking capacity is higher than the system’s maximum short-circuit current. Finally, choose IEC 60269 or UL certified products.

Essfuse provides full-series energy storage fuses suitable for industrial and utility-scale ESS, with stable performance and reliable protection.
